LEAN JOINS HUBER TECHNOLOGY FOR THEIR US GRAND OPENING IN DENVER, NC
Huber Technology, a German based solutions provider, specializes in cutting-edge equipment for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment.
Their primary focus lies in liquid/solid separation, with a particular emphasis on headworks equipment, but their product range includes a comprehensive selection of high-quality stainless-steel equipment.
Huber inaugurated a brand-new US manufacturing plant in Denver, North Carolina on April 17th, 2024, and is home to state-of-the-art equipment and technology including Trumpf press brakes, Trumpf laser automation, turrets, flow water jets, weld cells, and their new LEAN Assembly Parts Staging Racks.
The LEAN team was excited to support Huber Technology in this major expansion into the US and saw their streamlined operations firsthand. The new facility embodies their dedication to environmentally sustainable practices, reflecting their commitment to responsible and highly efficient manufacturing.
A NEW METAL STORAGE SOLUTION FOR A SPECIFIC NEED
The integration of their new LEAN Assembly Parts Staging Racks within their operations supports Huber’s green initiatives and has multiple benefits with a magnitude of results.
Our team met with the Huber operations team and discussed multiple design reviews of the staging rack to ensure the material staging system would fit their application within their operations. Following the entire process downstream, we collaborated with Huber to design a custom solution that maximized the productivity on their manufacturing floor and created a seamless staging process for their work-in-process materials. The custom-built cartridges are designed to safeguard the assembly materials within the perimeters and a high density polyethene sheet ensures that the materials will not be scratched during handling.
ABOUT THE LEAN ASSEMBLY PARTS STAGING RACK
The LEAN Assembly Parts Staging racks are meticulously crafted from steel weldments, ensuring robustness and durability. They are structurally certified for prolonged use and create a LEAN process for storing, staging, and processing materials.
Within each cartridge is a high-density polyethylene sheet that protects the parts from damage and keeps the material contained inside the perimeters of the cartridges. With multiple assembly parts being staged within each cartridge, the perimeter features of the cartridge contain and organize the parts to be processed further downstream.
Each cartridge can stack and engage with each other, which in turn further consolidated Huber’s storage footprint and keeps their materials well-organized and ready for the next operation.
